A Prayer

This prayer was sent to me by a dear friend. I am not a religous person but I loved the words and hence I pass it on to anyone who cares to read it.

May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly
where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities
that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received,
and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content
knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your
bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love.
It is
there for each and every one of us.

Im off tomorrow for the operation that I seem to have been talking about forever. I am not sure when I will be able to return to blogging because as usual I forgot to ask some important questions like when will I be up and about. I expect to probably be home on Saturday or at the latest Sunday.

  1. Best of luck for your op Julie. I will be thinking of you. Hope you aren't in there too long and hope it soon makes you pain-free. xx

(re the pastie - This time I had some mashed sweet potato and potato and cooked peas and I added a tiny tin of corn,a grated carrot(not cooked)some onion flakes and a sprinkle of cajun spices, salt & pepper, dash of mixed herbs - mixed all this together. Cut out a large bread and butter plate size round from a sheet of just thawed frozen low fat puff pastry, brushed the edge with a beaten egg, placed the vegies on and crimped the top to seal everything in, brushed the top of pastie with beaten egg and baked in a 200 degree oven for about 35 minutes or till pastry was cooked, other times I chop any vegies I have into small pieces or grate them and do the same as above)
